Vinyl record collectors are often faced with the difficult task of finding the records they want to purchase. Finding specific editions and colors often feels impossible. Vinylville is a mobile app where collectors can make wishlists, track their collection, and look for the records they really want. While many forums and websites exist for the purpose of buying and selling records, Vinylville includes multiple features and options for finding vinyl, whether from record stores or online sellers. This app design was developed using Invision, while all elements were designed in Illustrator.
My development for this project began with generating a few user journeys. This helped to understand what good UX design requires, and how it should be organized. The next step was to generate a user persona / story, to provide a clearer idea of how the app would be used and by whom. The last stage of research and preparation was a competitive analyis. From that point, I began creating screens and interface elements.
